Coaches

Coach Julie graduated from SHSU-1995, Director/ Head Coach of Montgomery Gold Volleyball for the past 3 years, Head Coach at Montgomery High School 1997-2004, JV Coach at Clear Creek High School-1996, Assistant Volleyball Coach at SHSU- 1995. She is entering her 16th year of coaching volleyball, and has coached club volleyball for the past 6 seasons. Her accomplishments in coaching include: 2- 18-4A District Championships & Coach of the Year (2000 & 2002), 5 Regional Quarterfinalist. She has helped assist over 25 players that went on to play at the collegiate level. She played high school for Jersey Village (1991) and club volleyball for Club Texas. As a player at SHSU, she received Southland Conference Player of the Year (1993), 1st Team All-Conference (1993 & 1994), 1st Team All-Regional (1993 & 1994), AVCA National Leader in Assist for Division I volleyball and named National Player of the Week (Nov, 1993). She was the first volleyball player ever to be named to the Sam Houston State Hall of Honor (2007). She is married to John Cicherski and has 2 children Joshua (6 years) & Jenna (4 years).

Coach Allison (Beaven) Faiola played college volleyball for Panola College in 2002. She was captain of the Varsity Volleyball team at Montgomery High School (1999-2001) and was named All-State in 2001. She was also named First Team All-District for 18-4A in 2000 & 2001. She is currently teaching Texas History at Montgomery Jr. High.

Coach Jeannine has played volleyball for 7 years. She received Honorable Mention Setter in District 18-4A. She also played club volleyball for 4 years.

Coach Kathy is currently the Varsity Volleyball Coach at Caney Creek High School. Kathy graduated from Montgomery High School in 2000, and played Varsity Volleyball for 3 years. She also played college volleyball at Blinn Jr. College & A&M Kingsville.

Coach Amber is currently the 8th Grade A Volleyball Coach at Peet Jr. High School and has been coaching volleyball for the past 5 years.
